In short

The apps need no account and no sign-in. They carry no advertising, no in-app purchases and no social network integration. No profile is built about anyone, and no data is sold or passed on for advertising.

Which apps this covers

This policy covers the apps listed here. What an app actually processes is in its row; an app not listed is not covered by this policy.

App Crash reports Usage statistics Saves
Magic Math Arena yes only with consent on the device only

Saves and settings

Saves, the characters you create and your settings are stored only in the app's private storage on the device. They are never sent to a server, they are deleted with the app when it is uninstalled, and nothing is synchronised between devices.

Crash reports

When an app that sends crash reports crashes, the fault is transmitted through Firebase Crashlytics (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) so it can be fixed. What is sent is technical: device model, operating system version, app version, the time, the state of the app at the moment of the crash, and a randomly generated installation identifier. No name, e-mail address, location or advertising ID is collected.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a working app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Reports are deleted after 90 days at the latest.

Usage statistics

Anonymous usage statistics through Firebase Analytics (same provider) are off by default. They are collected only after being switched on explicitly in the app's settings, and they can be switched off there again at any time. What is then collected are the events Firebase records automatically, such as the app starting and moving between screens, together with device type, operating system, language and approximate region.

The legal basis is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Withdrawing it takes effect for the future and does not affect processing carried out before.

No advertising ID

The apps do not collect the device's advertising ID. The library that reads it is excluded from the apps, and the matching permissions are explicitly removed from the Android manifest. There is no cross-app tracking.

Notifications

Some apps can remind you to practise. Those reminders are scheduled and raised by the device itself; there is no push service and nothing is sent to a server. They can be switched off in the app and in the system settings.

Transfers outside the EU

Google may process the data named above on servers in the United States. This rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and on Google LLC's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

App stores

The download itself runs through Google Play or the App Store. What data that involves is Google's and Apple's responsibility and outside our control. No personal data about individual users is received from them.

Children

The apps are made for children. Nothing personal is asked for: no name that identifies the child, no e-mail address, no date of birth and no photograph. A mage name chosen inside the app stays on the device. The decision about usage statistics rests with the parents, because it is made in the settings and stays off until somebody turns it on.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Consent once given can be withdrawn at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Hamburg the Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.

Because the apps work without an account and transmit nothing that can be tied to a person, a request for information or erasure usually cannot be matched to a single installation. Everything stored locally is removed by uninstalling the app.
